The Writing Studio is looking for Graduate Students!
The Writing Studio has received funding to hire additional graduate writing consultants and writing fellows for the 2016-2017 academic year. Consultants and fellows hold one-to-one appointments with graduate and undergraduate writers, and facilitate workshops in undergraduate classrooms. Additionally, fellows facilitate writing groups and organize educational programs. Starting salary for consultants is$13.00 per hour. Fellows work no fewer than 15 hours per week and receive $25,000 annual stipend.
Graduate students who are interested in applying should submit the following materials to writing.studio.hiring@vanderbilt.edu no later than June 13. (For email submissions, please include “Graduate Application” in subject line.)
- a letter demonstrating specific interest in and dedication to the teaching of writing
- a curriculum vitae
- a writing sample of no more than 20 pages
- a letter of recommendation from an adviser or other faculty member
- a statement from a departmental Director of Graduate Studies verifying availability for employment in the Writing Studio
