Our client, a medical publishing company in New York City, has an immediate opening for an Associate Editor for a well-read, peer-reviewed monthly journal. The ideal candidate will have experience in editorial planning, manuscript editing, proofreading, writing, interviewing experts about medical advances, and building relationships with physician advisors. He/she will have the opportunity to guide articles through all stages of production, from acquisitions to peer review to selecting illustrations. Qualifications: 1 to 4 years of editorial experience with a medical or scientific focus; superior language and communication skills; the ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and be responsible for ensuring a high-quality finished product.
