The Associate Biomedical Modeler performs mathematical modeling and statistical analysis for clinical and laboratory research projects. Knowledge of contemporary mathematical methodologies applicable to pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) modeling (i.e., pharmacometrics) is important. Familiarity with standard PK and PD modeling software and coding languages is essential. This position is responsible for data handling, conducting modeling and application projects, developing software applications as needed, and for providing direction and training to post-doctoral fellows and graduate students on the projects involving mathematical modeling. There is dual reporting relationship to the PK Shared Resource Biomedical Modeler/Pharmacometrician.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 Master's degree in biomedical science, mathematics, computer science or other related field plus four (4) years' experience in an academic or industrial staff position or

substantial participation in mathematical modeling required.

 PhD in biomedical science, mathematics, computer science or a related field preferred.

No experience required with a PhD.

 Advanced training in systems modeling and/or data handling and analysis required.

Experience with pharmacometric and/or biomedical modeling projects is preferred.
