Job Posting: Toxicologist, Keller & Heckman LLP, Washington DC
We are seeking a Toxicologist for a non-laboratory position to work in our Washington, D.C. office. This is an opportunity to engage in challenging work in a non-laboratory environment that includes a technical staff of more than 20. The successful candidate will thrive in a collegial environment, be confident evaluating cutting edge technology, and master the impact that legal and regulatory requirements have on new product introductions.
This individual will assist our attorneys and other staff scientists in advising a broad range of companies on food, drug, and cosmetic safety issues, including the ingredients used in these products. This position requires the ability to write clearly and deal with people effectively. Familiarity with government health and safety regulations and experience with FDA, EPA, and Cal EPA methods for performing statistical risk assessments are all important. Experience with exposure estimates and safety evaluations for products of biotechnology are also a plus. Occasional travel and speaking opportunities.
