ESTEEM is an 11-month entrepreneurship master’s program designed to instill the specific skills required to launch a business. ESTEEM puts students in the middle of real-time startup development, and a network of investors and alumni are available to help launch ventures inspired by students' capstone projects. Previously open only to those with undergraduate STEM degrees, the program is now open to anyone with significant experience in research and technology. Applications are due April 1, 2016.

The founding organizations within VEN are LifeScienceTN Academic Alliance (LST-AA), the Center for Tech Transfer and Commercialization (CTTC), and the Vanderbilt Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society (VINES).

 The Nashville Vanderbilt Chapter and the Nashville Entrepreneur Center are bringing together the principals of five companies who have their finger on the pulse of founding startups in Nashville. These experts will discuss presenting an idea and raising money for a new company as well as navigating the angle, private equity and the venture capital landscape. The American Society for Microbiology is seeking applications from advanced graduate students, postdoctoral scientists and early career scientists for the 2015 ASM Turning Your Science into a Company. The workshop will be held at ASM Headquarters in Washington, DC October 1-3, 2015. This two and a half day entrepreneurship workshop provides basic information on establishing start-up businesses and utilizes examples from companies involved in biotechnology industries.
