So you have a fellowship that doesn’t take out any federal tax.  Do you have to pay it during tax season?  What about the other funding that is taxed?  What tax credits and deductions should you take advantage of?  Come and have your tax questions answered by CPAs Briana Mullenax and Cindy Anderson, senior managers of Lattimore, Black, Morgan, & Cain.  They will cover issues about how to file taxes for both domestic and international students.

Councilwoman Johnson campus visit, Dec 1

A representative from District 23, Councilwoman Johnson will share some of her experiences serving on Metro Council, specifically about the complexity of integrating science into public works and planning decisions at the local level in Nashville. This is a great opportunity to talk to an influential member of the local government and gain some insights about some of the decisions the Council is currently evaluating and the role of science in informing those discussions.
