The Scientist-in-the Classroom Partnership (SCP) currently has one position available for a Science Teaching Fellow (STFs) for the 2014-15 school year.   Sponsored by the Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach, the SCP program offers an opportunity for graduate students to motivate and inspire middle school students to appreciate science and scientific research. STFs teach a total of one day per week in partnership with a master teacher to increase student knowledge and depth of understanding of science concepts and encourage students to consider careers in science.

Bard College’s Citizen Science Program is a science literacy program required of all first year students, regardless of intended major.  Held in January, this short, intense academic program introduces our students to scientific thinking by engaging them in problem-based learning computing, laboratory and classroom experiences. We are currently accepting applications from excellent scientists who are interested in undergraduate education.
